The 10th Annual Charity Homeless Veterans Golf Outing is set for this spring at the Lake Arrowhead Highlands Golf Course in Waleska, GA. The shotgun start event will be held on Friday the 17th of May with a 4-person team scramble format. The event is put on by the Cherokee County Homeless Veterans program (CCHVP) with support from local veterans and volunteers. 100% of the proceeds of the golf outing go to support the various programs of the CCHVP and 100% of the money raised stays here in Cherokee County.
We host an annual Georgia State BBQ Association sanctioned competitive barbeque cook-off to raise funds to support homeless veterans and suicide awareness among veterans. The competition - designed for barbeque pros and amateurs—takes place at the Canton American Legion Post Fairgrounds located at 160 McClure Street in Canton.
Every dollar we get goes to dramatically improving the lives of homeless veterans in Cherokee County. Skip one meal and invest the funds in the life of an American hero.
