David Lee Poer
September 22, 1954 – November 20, 2024
David Lee Poer, a beloved husband, father, and amazing “Poppy,” passed away on November 20, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with metastatic melanoma.
Born on September 22, 1954, David lived a life filled with love, laughter, and passion for the things he cherished most. He was a devoted husband to Lori for 47 and a half wonderful years, a proud father to Lindsay (Sam), Jordan (Lexi), and Spencer, and an adored “Poppy” to his three grandchildren- Lincoln, Kennedy, and Adeline.
David was known for his love of golf, his adventurous spirit for travel, and his lifelong devotion to the Indiana Hoosiers. Whether on the green, exploring new destinations, or cheering for his favorite team, David embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
David’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him deeply.
A celebration of his life will be held at Stratus at Fairways of Canton on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 10am -12pm where friends and family can gather to honor his memory
There will also be a celebration of life held in his home state of Indiana. (Go Hoosiers!)
