This Ain’t Your Fathers Backyard BBQ – Red White and Blue BBQ back for 3rd year in Canton October 27 -28 at the Thomas M. Brady Post 45 American Legion
This event is a charity event designed to help us raise money for Veteran Suicide Prevention & Awareness. They may not be front of mind but are key to the well being of veterans.
Join the fun and show off your cooking skills. This event pulls in a great selection of BBQ styles and flavors, all while helping veterans struggling with mental health challenges.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Chef Brian Duffy had his first experiences in the kitchen as a young child with his big Irish-Italian Family. Those experiences introduced him to culinary life, and led him to study at Philadelphia’s The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. Culinary school may have taught him technique, but it was those Sunday nights cooking with his family where he developed his passion.
Chef Duffy is providing the recipe for the Smoky Fried Rice he will be preparing in his cooking demo.

Every dollar we get goes to dramatically improving the lives of homeless veterans in Cherokee County. Skip one meal and invest the funds in the life of an American hero.
We appreciate the sacrifice you are making to show our veterans we appreciate their sacrifices to keep us a free and prosperous nation. Your donation will go a long way.
Your donations help us to continue to improve veterans lives through case management, helping them get benefits through the VA, housing, and much more.
With this donation, you will be helping fund education and training for homeless veterans to improve their lives through meaningful work leading to self-sufficiency.
With this donation level, you will provide food and short-term housing (typically in an extended stay accommodation) for a homeless veteran for a full week while we work to provide longer term stability through additional support and services.
With this donation, you will be helping fund cars and trucks for veterans to help move them along the path to self-sufficiency.
